CQB

Operations Other Than War (OOTW), which include both domestic and foreign tactical operations consist of raids, tactical interference, hostage rescue, and room-clearing techniques that are closely connected with Close Quarter Combat (CQB) in several respects. Whereas the dominant aggressive force may have the firepower or manpower to completely overwhelm an adversary in a fixed structure invasion, it is often the case that the structure in question contains either confirmed friendly-forces or an unknown population of civilian inhabitants.

Insurgent forces regularly use the tactic of mixing civilians, soldiers, and captives in order to complicate extraction and assault efforts. In such scenarios there is no substitute for the superior discretion that comes from years of practical experience. FI trainers have decades of experience gained from deployments in both foreign and domestic theaters, and realize the potential consequences of an erroneous judgment call in a high stress situation. Forged RC/CQB Training Seminars are complete with real-time obstacle courses and virtual-structure tactical-invasion drills to accommodate clients in the novice stage as well as challenge the most seasoned combat veteran.

FI instructors present our clients with new challenges and methodologies that meet the highest standards for preparedness, and represent the latest solutions to evolving security threats. As with our H2H training courses our belief is that proper training reduces the number of casualties in CQB situations by improving split-second tactical decisions; In order to provide a comprehensive fluency with CQB and RtR Clearance our drills include but are not limited to:

  • Breaching techniques; ballistic/mechanical/specialized, interior/exterior breaching
  • Percussion grenades: non-fatal
  • Light/flash grenades :non-fatal
  • NOD’s, Laser sighting, pulse laser, and thermal
  • Firing stance
  • Weapons positioning
  • Ancillary demolition
  • Extraction protocols

Extraction operations comprise the majority of Room Clearing and Structural Breach agendas and subsequently the rate of success is determined by the friendly-to-enemy fatality ratio. FI can minimize the collateral damage in any given situation with our advanced training and real-time drill programs.
